Okay finished another called The Savage by David Almond Illustrated by Dave McKean.
This story is the creation of the main character Blue who uses his writing to deal with his reality. He only writes about real stuff- you know blood, guts and adventures (a true boy)!
Blue and his sister have just suffered the loss of their father and Blue has become the victim of a town bully. He turns to his dark writing to deal with his pain and creates the savage, a character from the wild disconnected from human life to confront this bully. The only thing is...the savage, a character so real, is not just a piece of fictitious juxtaposition he is as real as you yourself.
